Dedo Lounge Chair is from the ranges of beautiful contemporary furniture by Bosnian specialists Gazzda

The name “Dedo” is significant to the chair - it provides the core for the design itself. “Dedo” (meaning grandpa), is an association of warmth, comfort, and security, ultimately bringing about a feeling of returning home. It is this notion that inspired the creation of a chair, instigating all of the above feelings, and combining them into a tangible product.

Description

The Dedo Easy Chair – a fusion of light and contemporary design, with a traditional and minimalistic flair.

The chair features light weight and allows easy mobility. This lightness, combined with Dedo’s timeless design, makes it suitable for all sorts of spaces, and adaptable to various interior styles. Additionally, the Dedo Easy Chair works well alone or in pairs, allowing for corner or central room placement.

Technical Spec.

Dedo’s characteristic frame is hand- crafted from solid oak and constructed relying on artisanal mortise-tenon- joint techniques. It is available in solid oak, with two plant-based oil finishes - white and natural, or in black lacquer. The generously spacious seat and pillow, are available in vegan leather or fabric options.

The Designer - Salih Teskeredzic

When Salih walks into a room, his energy is infectious. He puts passion and emotion into every design, and aims to create products that people truly love. Our workshop is Salih’s favourite place, and his pencil is his favourite tool.

Salih is one of the reasons we focus on natural materials in our Gazzda products. He is internationally renowned for pushing the technological boundaries of wooden design furniture and helps many appreciate that magical moment when they touch a finely crafted product detail for the first time.

Salih shares his passion outside of Gazzda as well. He has been teaching industrial design to promising youngsters since 2004 as a tenured professor at the Sarajevo Academy of Fine Arts. Among his students, Salih’s near-obsession with wood is so well known, they affectionately call him ‘Geppetto’.

When he’s not creating beautiful designs in our prototype workshop, you’re most likely to find Salih spending time with his family, or drinking his beloved Bosnian coffee in a café in downtown Sarajevo.
