For the SILU table and chair combination, UNStudio and Ondarreta have fused traditional wood bending techniques and technical know-how with contemporary design. This creation playfully transforms functional ergonomic surfaces into structural frame components. Smooth transitions are made between sharp angles and soft curves, and all sides are given equal importance as they interconnect with one another. This versatile table and chair combination is intended for a variety of uses within functional environments, bringing people together in educational, hospitality, conference and dining settings. Adapting to the different needs of the given setting, the chair is stackable.
