The name Jieldé comes from the initials of his name J,L and D.
Like La Lampe Gras the Jieldé lamp has carried its industrial heritage through the decades and today is a collectors item and much sought after designer lamp.

One of the fundamental design features of Jielde lamps is the wireless jointing between the articulated arms.
This is enabled by a clever design that passes the electrical current from arm to arm.
Most articulated lamp designs pass a cable externally from arm to arm.
