Flexotherm

We have been fitting and hanging curtains and blinds for over 25 years.
During the fitting in older properties it has always surprised us how much draught comes through the boxes of roller shutter blinds.
This isn't always limited to older properties either. Even relatively new builds often don't allow for anything in the shutter box than the actual shutter itself. The only barrier between the outside being the internal wood panel.

On developments the thermal inadequacies of such systems is also combined with acoustic deficiencies too. Where external noise transmits easily through the open boxes.

With the increase in energy costs, as well as the gradual increase of an environmental awareness, Flexotherm is an economical solution that allows combating energy waste and reducing draft and external noise.

Flexotherm eliminates thermal bridges from older or non-insulated roller shutter boxes, optimising the respective energy efficiency and comfort of buildings. According to independent test certificates, the energy waste of older roller blind boxes is reduced by up to 66%, while the sound insulation of the boxes is increased by up to 6 dB.

FLEXOTHERM is made of flexible and easy-to-handle materials. Each plate is made up of different superimposed layers of polystyrene, and is easily moulded and applied in the rolling cavity of the blind box, due to the “T”-shaped cut in the outer layer.

Whatever the type of box or blind winding cavity, FLEXOTERM adjusts to the necessary dimensions. It is available in slabs with a length of 1000 mm, two options of width (790 or 500 mm) and thickness (13 or 25 mm).
